Prof Adik Wibowo works as WHO Representative to Myanmar. She
graduated as a medical doctor from the University
of Padjadjaran Indonesia in 1973. She pursued
her master and doctorate degrees in the US and obtained her full professorship
in Public Health in 1996.
Her work at WHO started at the WHO South East Asia
Regional Office (SEARO) where most of her duties were as Regional Advisor/
Medical Officer for research policy and cooperation, research ethic and
research management. In the beginning, she served for primary health care and
non-communicable diseases.
She has extensive experience working with national
authority, INGOs as well as NGOs. Her duty as in country level provided her
with more challenges to carry out practical Public Health which is her prime
interest.
